Hotel Rules

At BMD Hotel and Suites, we are committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay for all our valued guests. To ensure this, we kindly ask all guests to adhere to the following hotel policies:


1. No Smoking Policy

  • A. Smoking inside the rooms is strictly prohibited.
  • B. Clear “NO SMOKING” signs are displayed in all rooms. Violating this policy attracts a fine of ₦100,000.
  • C. Guests who wish to smoke may use the rooftop area, which is designated for smoking.
  • D. Smoking is also not allowed inside the rooms upstairs. However, guests on upper floors may smoke only on the balcony of their rooms.
  • E. No smoking of hard drugs anywhere in the premises of the hotel or rooms.

    2. Guest Visitation Policy

  • A. All visitors must register at the front desk before gaining access to guest rooms.
  • B. For safety and accountability, visitors will only be allowed to see you after your personal confirmation.
  • C. Similarly, no visitor is allowed to leave the premises without confirmation from the guest they came to see.


    3. Check-Out Inspection

  • During the check-out process, our porters (also known as bellboys) will conduct a brief inspection of the room to ensure that hotel facilities and items remain in good condition, just as they were during your check-in.


    4. Room Occupancy Limit

  • A. Each room is strictly limited to a maximum of two (2) occupants.
  • B. Additional guests must book a separate room. Overcrowding is not allowed under any circumstance.
  • C. In our suites, the limits should be the hotel management discretion.


    5. Noise and Disturbance

  • A. Guests are expected to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment at all times.
  • B. Loud music, shouting, or any disruptive behavior that may disturb other guests is not allowed, especially during quiet hours (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM).


    6. Damage to Property

  • A. Guests will be held financially responsible for any damage caused to hotel property, whether accidental or intentional.
  • B. Charges will be applied to cover repair or replacement costs.


    7. Illegal Activities

  • A. The hotel has a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal activities, including drug use, underage drinking, and prostitution.
  • B. Any guest or visitor found engaging in such activities will be reported to law enforcement and asked to vacate the premises immediately without a refund.


    8. Lost and Found

  • A. The hotel is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings.
  • B. However, items found on the property will be kept at the Lost and Found desk and can be retrieved with proper identification.


    9. Payment Policy

  • A. All guests are required to make full payment upon check-in.
  • B. Additional charges (e.g., for minibar use, damages, or extended stay) must be settled before check-out.


    10. Use of Facilities

  • A. Guests are encouraged to make use of all hotel amenities respectfully.
  • B. Please follow posted guidelines at the  rooftop lounge, restaurant and other shared areas.

Cancellation

At BMD Hotel and Suites, we value your time and understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. Our cancellation policy is designed to be flexible while also helping us manage our rooms and services efficiently. Please review the terms below:

  1. Free Cancellation Window
    • Guests may cancel their reservation free of charge if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled check-in date.
    • A full refund will be issued to the original method of payment.
  2. Late Cancellations
    • Cancellations made within 48 hours of check-in will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the first night’s stay.
    • This applies to both prepaid and pay-at-hotel bookings.
  3. No-Show Policy
    • If a guest does not arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior notice, the booking will be treated as a no-show.
    • The full amount for the first night will be charged, and the remaining nights (if any) will be automatically canceled.
  4. Early Departures
    • If a guest decides to check out earlier than planned, charges for the remaining unused nights are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed upon with management.
  5. Group Bookings and Events
    • Special cancellation terms may apply for group reservations, conferences, or event bookings. These will be communicated at the time of booking.
  6. How to Cancel
    • Cancellations must be made through the same channel used for booking (e.g., official website, booking platform, or travel agent).
    • Direct bookings can be canceled by contacting our reservations team via phone or email.
  7. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events)
    • In cases of emergencies beyond the guest’s control (e.g., medical emergencies, natural disasters, government restrictions), BMD Hotel and Suites may offer a credit voucher or reschedule option at management’s discretion.
